Simon Fellows Cabinet Maker
Simon Fellows Cabinet Maker is an independent family run business in Pembrokeshire with a wealth of over 35 years of experience within the furniture trade offering reliable professional service to the private and commercial sectors.
I set up my business in September 2009 from my home in the beautiful County of Pembrokeshire, 6 miles from the historical and market town of Haverfordwest and only 2 miles from the magnificent coastline of St Brides Bay. Having learnt my trade as an apprentice in Birmingham from leaving school at 16. In 2009 I was unfortunately made redundant and having moved to Pembrokeshire and a property that had a purpose built workshop along with ample parking I decided to start my own business offering all of the knowledge and expertise I had gained and offering honest and professional advice, at affordable prices.
I am a big believer that all furniture can be restored be it modern or antique, as you can see from my gallery of work I can lovingly restore your pieces back to their original state sourcing my materials as close to home where possible. Do not worry if you have pieces that were originally part of a set or lost through damage or inheritance if you could supply me with a piece if from a set or a good photograph I can expertly copy and match the polishing. In the case of French polishing of replacement pieces I will need to have an original where possible.
Although I am based in Pembrokeshire my work and reputation has taken me all over the country, I value my reputation on reliability and punctual completion. I am in my workshop most days unless I am working off site, my wife Jane is always on hand in the office to take your calls if I am unavailable.
I am fully insured and offer full comprehensive quotes for insurance work.
No job is too small or too great a damage from a small scratch to complicated rebuilds and copies I am in my workshop most days but as I run my business from home Monday to Friday from 9am until 6pm but there is usually someone in to take your call including weekends. Please feel free to visit my workshop always best to call first.
I can also offer bespoke furniture making to your specification and offer totally Welsh bespoke furniture to private and the hospitably trade using a local woollen mill for fabric and Welsh Oak from the Forestry Commission site between Usk and Newport, both business being family run for generations and adopt the same working ethos as myself. If you would prefer you can supply your own fabric for small upholstery jobs.
Period furniture is so important to our family history each and every piece has a story to tell – let me lovingly restore and conserve your treasured heirlooms using all the traditional methods for you to pass on to your family and friends before they are lost forever let the next generation be inspired.
